Jenkins students and families come out to the Back to School Bash today at the City Park from 11-3. Kona Ice, Foam Party, school supply giveaways, and pizza! MCHC Mobile Clinic, MCC, KRCC, Letcher Promise Neighborhood, Save the Children, and other organizations are also setup! The Jenkins Pool is open all day for Jenkins students!

At the Back to School Bash ALL Burdine Elementary students will receive a pool pass for the entire day, backpacks, and school supplies. While supplies last! There will also be a foam party! Come see us from 11:00-3:00!
Save the Children will also be handing out free materials and books.
At Open House students can see their classrooms and meet their teachers. ALL Burdine students will receive a school supply box of supplies to keep at home.

Cavaliers attending KinderBoost just a reminder tomorrow there will be no bus. It is Celebration and Signing Day! We will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Pastries with Parents. Parents will participate in some kindergarten activities in the classroom with their kindergartener. We will end with signing the Cavalier Pledge, pictures, and pizza!

Three teachers from Jenkins are participating in the Kentucky Numeracy Counts Teacher Academy. Kayla Akers, Abbi Huddle, and Whitney Boggs were accepted into the first cohort. The goal of the Academy is to support the advancement of math and science education throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
