Our Summer Reading Readiness will meet for the first time Wednesday, July 6th at Burdine Elementary at 1:00! We want to welcome ALL students even if you are needing to enroll, if you’re a newly enrolled student, or a current student! This wonderful experience is designed for families and students! Students will receive a book to keep in their library at home along with other cool treats and prizes! We are encouraging all students to attend, especially our new readers, students that will be in PreK, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders! For those who didn’t get meals today from the mobile route, you may pickup meals tomorrow at Jenkins Middle High School between 9:00 and 2:00. This is a bulk breakfast and lunch meal pickup for multiple days.
The lunch bus is behind schedule and will be after 1:00 starting the Burdine route.
The lunch bus is delivering meals today. The McRoberts route will be starting from Jenkins Middle High @ 10:30 and traveling to McRoberts area. The Burdine route will begin @ 12:00 starting from Lakeside to Marshal’s Branch.
If you want meals for your child/children please watch for the bus, if you’ve previously not been on the route, please let us know to add you. Meals may also be picked up at the school if you’re not able to meet the bus.

MSU’s Center for STEM+eXcellence is hosting two STEM summer camps this year for rising 9th and 10th grade students. Program curriculum follow NGSS standards and will introduce a wide array of new skills like coding, soldering, welding, power tools, CAD design, etc. One highlight I would like to mention is the tuition assistance/scholarship form. Please encourage students that normally would not have the funds to participate to fill this out along with their application. This will allow all students the ability to participate no matter what their economic circumstance. If you have any questions, contact me any time.
