4th and 5th grade students went bowling in Mrs. Goodson's math class today. They recorded all of their scores on a frequency table and then plotted their data on a line plot.

Owen is always ready in the lunchroom! Thank you Owen for your great behavior in the lunchroom.

Mrs. Hubbard's science classes had the opportunity to participate in a thrilling Egg Drop Experiment recently! Below is some of the exciting details behind the experiment!
Physics behind the Egg Drop Experiment
The Egg Drop is a classic science experiment. Students are given an egg to drop from a high point (such as the roof of the school) onto a hard surface (such as the parking lot). They must design a carrier for the egg to house it during the drop. The students form hypotheses about which of the egg carriers will effectively protect the egg and then test those hypotheses. The experiment is not just for fun — although students do enjoy it. It is intended to teach students about the relationships between force and momentum.
Your Mission: Package a raw egg in a container no larger than 6x6x6 inches, so it can be recovered unharmed (the shell and the yolk should not be broken) when dropped from a 2-story window (height of at least 30 feet)

FSCS invited UPIKE Optometry Students to conduct an engaging presentation for our preschool students, informing them about what to expect during an eye exam. They read an informative book, showed examples of the eye exam process, and encouraged questions from the students. This presentation served as an important reminder that all incoming Kindergarten students are required to undergo an eye exam before starting school.

Today a reader tomorrow a leader! Shout out to these awesome fifth graders for sharing poems with lower primary students. #letsgocavs
