Picture Day at Burdine!

Thank you Letcher Promise Neighborhood for the school supplies! Teachers and students were both very excited. #letcherpromise #partnersforruralimpact

Thank you Superintendent Johnson, Assistant Superintendent Baker, and Director of Federal Programs Amanda Anderson for helping with morning drop off for the first day of school! It was so great to see everyone's smiling face this morning. It's a great time to be a Cavalier! #letgocavs #swordsup

JIS Families just a reminder that the district has the Rooms communication tool. In the image are the steps for downloading the app and accessing Rooms. The classes go live tomorrow and homeroom teacher's will be sending home your child's magic code. This tool allows two way communication between the teacher and family member connected. Teachers will also post classroom information, updates, and class photos (once their photo permission form has been completed and returned).

Lunch Menu for JIS

Attention Jenkins Independent School District Community,
We want to inform you that the start of the school year will be delayed by one day. Instead of beginning on Wednesday, August 7th, classes will now start on Thursday, August 8th.
This delay is to ensure that the paving work around Burdine Elementary is completed, preventing any disruptions during drop-offs and dismissals.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding as we work to provide a safe and smooth start to a great school year!

We can't wait to see all of our Cavaliers Thursday! The bus routes will be the same as last year. If you need more information than what is listed in the images please call the school. At Burdine students need to enter using the side cafeteria door by 7:50. Students entering past 7:50 must enter using the front entrance. Classes begin at 7:50. Parents and families will not be permitted in the building with students during morning drop off as a safety precaution. Doors open at Burdine at 7:15. Doors open at JMHS at 7:45. Students need to be in the building by 8:05 for the first bell.
