Jenkins Independent Schools

Jenkins Independent School honored two teachers at their May Board of Education meeting. Leslie Burke and Cathy Rose were presented with awards for their service to Jenkins Independent School for many years. Mrs. Burke worked for the district for 30 years. Mrs. Burke said, "I'm a proud Cavalier. I am proud to have spent my career here." Ms. Rose taught at Jenkins for her entire 27 year career. She said, " Thank you for trusting me with your children. It has been a lot of fun." Superintendent Damian Johnson thanked both of them for their service and years of dedication to the Jenkins Independent school system. Congratulations to these two great educators.
